2. Wiring & Internal Functions

Power Positive Input
Governor and motor power supply positive input.
Power Negative Input
Governor and motor power supply negative input.
Motor Power Positive Output
The positive output terminal of the motor power supply.
Motor Power Negative Output
The negative output terminal of the motor power supply.
Rotation Direction Control
High and low level output of positive and negative rotation control. High level: 5V, Low level: 0V. Controlled by touch switch 2 (F/R). Default is high level.
Brake Control
High and low level output of brake control. High level: 5V, Low level: 0V. Controlled by touch switch 1 (BRA). Default status is high level on power up.
Analog Voltage Output
0 - 5V output. This interface is suitable for speed regulation on motors accepting analog voltage inputs.
PWM1 Reverse Output
Suitable for motors accepting PWM speed regulation; speed is inversely proportional to the duty cycle.
PWM2 Forward Output
Suitable for motors accepting PWM speed regulation; speed is proportional to the duty cycle.
Motor Feedback Input
Motor feedback signal input port.
Signal Adjustments & Jumper Cap Config:
The output signal changes of the three interfaces (⑤ to ⑨) are adjusted by the potentiometer.
FG/FG*3 Configuration: Place jumper cap based on actual motor feedback requirements. No jumper cap = single times FG. With jumper cap = 3 times FG*3. The same rules apply to CW/CCW settings.

3. Parameter Settings

Frequency Setting
Hold down touch switch 1 before powering on, then power the board. Release the button when the screen displays "FEQ:20K". Touch switch 1 to decrease, and touch switch 2 to increase the frequency. Adjustable to specified frequency. (Factory default: 20KHz).

Number of Poles Setting
Hold down both touch switch 1 and 2 before powering on. Power the board and release the buttons when the screen displays "number of poles: 1 polarity". Touch switch 1 to decrease, and touch switch 2 to increase. The pole number should match the design of your motor. (Factory default: 1 pole).

Feedback Setting
Set the FG/FG*3 pin as the feedback multiplier. If the motor feedback multiplier is single FG, do not use a jumper cap. If it is 3 times FG, insert the jumper cap.

Direction Setting
The CW/CCW pin configures the initial direction state of the motor. This is configured based on whether the motor runs CW or CCW when the direction control line is suspended. Add a skip cap for CCW; leave it without a skip cap for CW.
Main Display Info:
The default screen displays four key metrics: Input Voltage, Speed, Frequency, and Duty Cycle. For accurate speed display, the feedback configuration (FG/FG*3) and the number of poles must be set correctly.

4. Precautions

CRITICAL WARNINGS
  • Polarity Protection: Connect the positive and negative power supplies strictly according to instructions. Reversed connections will damage and burn the governor board.
  • Motor Compatibility: Ensure the governor is only used to match motors featuring the control interfaces specified above.
  • Voltage Limits: Do not supply more than 5V to the control ports (⑤-⑨). Overvoltage will damage the ports.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Can I use this governor to control motors requiring currents higher than 2A?
A1: Yes, but the motor power line must be connected directly to the power supply and not routed through the governor. The rated current limit of the governor board is MAX 2A.
Q2: How do I change the default output frequency setting?
A2: Press and hold touch switch 1, power on the governor board, and release when "FEQ:20K" appears. Press switch 1 to decrease or switch 2 to increase the frequency, then save.
Q3: How do I configure the speed feedback multiplier?
A3: The feedback multiplier is set using the FG/FG*3 pin. Keep the jumper cap off for a single FG multiplier, or attach the jumper cap for 3 times FG (FG*3).
Q4: What happens if I reverse the positive and negative power supply connections?
A4: The positive and negative power connections must not be reversed. Doing so will prevent the governor from working and will permanently burn out the circuitry.
Q5: Can I apply external voltage directly to the direction, brake, and PWM control ports?
A5: Ports ⑤ through ⑨ (Direction, Brake, Analog, PWM1, and PWM2 outputs) must not receive any voltage exceeding 5V. Exceeding this limit will cause electrical damage.
Q6: What is the initial direction setting of the motor?
A6: Initial direction is set via the CW/CCW pin. Add a skip cap for a CCW default start, or leave the cap off for a CW default start when the direction control line is suspended.
